ARCHASTER ANGULATUS - SAND-GRABING STARFISH
The sand-digging starfish (Archaster angulatus) digs into the bottom, searches for organic waste (detritus) as food and at the same time cleans the bottom.
The tank should therefore be well established and not too sterile so that there is enough detritus. There must also be enough substrate for burying. The minimum aquarium size is 120 liters. When placing the starfish, it must not come into contact with air.
If these points are observed, the sand-digging starfish is easy to keep. It also behaves peacefully towards other tank inhabitants.
